Place cards aren't used at every wedding reception or event but there are a couple of places where they probably should be used.
- At the head table. It saves confusion for the bridal party if they know where to sit without asking. Chances are, you won't be around to help when they sit down. If you use place cards here, they won't have to ask or feel embarrassed about not knowing where to go.
- At your close relatives' tables. Because your close relatives may be helping you arrive at the reception, they may be the last to sit down. Using place cards for them will ensure that they have a front row seat for your wedding reception.
You can write these by hand, print them on your computer, or have them custom printed.
For a nice touch, you can incorporate a graphic that matches your theme or your monogram cake topper.
You can also incorporate your monogram or logo by using a custom or monogram stamp.
There are a lot of themed place card holders that can turn your place cards into a theme enhancing reception decoration as well.
